SNEAK PEEK: CIRCUS BOOKAZINE #1: FASHION
I’ve got very good news for you: I’m back in print:-))))
The postman just brought me CIRCUS Bookazine #1: Fashion. Is it a book, is it a mag? No, it’s both, only better: it is timeless as a luxury handbag, extravagantly beautiful and perfect. It is critical and entertaining, young and wise, classic and modern – a bookazine as colorful and contradictory as fashion itself, the blurb says. So far so seen. The new and revolutionary element is – now hold your breath – it’s the first fashion bloggers’ print publication. Yes, all text & picture contributions come from bloggers. And no, it’s not fluffy at all. I just had a flick through. It looks v fab. It looks like I’m going to spend a long long time reading. Which I never usually do with fashion mags. And when exactly was the last time I actually bought a print mag anyway? This one I would instantly try and secure when it is officially out on Sept 14. CIRCUS is published by small and fine Germany-based Herznote Verlag. It will be available at airport newsstands in Germany, as well as selected stores & newsstands globally. I’ve contributed a backstage report from Swiss Textiles Award 2010 called Run This Way including pictures of models running in Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Alexis Mabille and Erdem.

LAUNCHED: ZURICH LOOK BOOK 2010
PLAYLUST & RONORP introduce: ZURICH LOOK BOOK 2010
We all know designers look books. But how about compiling a look book about a city? This was the idea behind ZURICH LOOK BOOK. The 2010 edition of the online Zurich style-journal captures the city’s spirit between chic, coolness, and cervelat (a popular Swiss sausage). I caughtnow-looks and wow-people, and hung out at art openings and fashion shows. Along the way, I bumped into a few celebrities (ie Face Hunter, Damien Hirst, or Yello etc…) and paid visits to a couple of stylish homes. For those who like a good read too, there’s micro-interviews. Find out about a fine bunch of young creatives who are taking Zurich’s fashion scene out of its provincial taste of prosecco & cervelat, to international acclaim. And I caught up with Swiss it-model (and coverboy of the Face Hunter book) Affa Osman, to talk fashion, model-moments, and Zurich’s cool factor.

POP OF THE TRENCH: PLAYLUST NO 1
BURBERRY and POP MAG have kindly invited me and a selection of fellow P.O.P. World partners to take part in Pop Of The Trench, in collaboration with BURBERRY’s Art Of The Trench.
Our task was to interpret The BURBERRY Trench Coat and the people who wear it.
I thought my Cannes red carpet trench would fit the bill perfectly. Since I’m only wearing a cheapo H&M trench knock-off, I don’t think Christopher Bailey will pick my entry for inclusion in the Autumn/Winter 2010 POP mag though.

PLAY TODAY TAKES A RIDE IN DAS MAGAZIN
I’m a bicycle, Brett Anderson of Suede famously answered when asked about his sexual preference. I love to ride my bicycle, Freddie Mercury serenaded. I love bicycles too, but not necessarily as photo opportunities. Still, one of my rare bike pics made it into today’s Das Magazin bicycle special. Though it’s petit, it’s next to Brigitte. WE’RE IN GLAMOUR GERMANY MARCH ISSUE
Playlust is back in Glamour Germany. We made it into 5 Cities 1 Trend: Blazers. We never made it to Sydney, though. I took the picture at Family Affairs AW10 show at Hubertus bar in Zurich. But I guess, Sydney sounds more glamorous.
